Or as I call it, 'Stop Being Sick, Stupid Body... Soup'
A few weeks ago I got hit with a really nasty ear infection. I couldn't eat anything not in liquid form for about five days. So I made a bastardized egg drop soup, which was okay, I guess. The next day, I did it again, but I caramalzed some onion first. Made it taste a little better.
I woke up this morning feeling exactly the same as I did the first day I was sick with the ear infection last time. So I made the caramelized onion egg stop soup again.
This time I added frozen peas as well, after I'd served it. It helped cool it down enough to eat immediately, and gave it a better flavor. They all sunk to the bottom, though.
Anyway, I know in Austria they have a soup that is like this, for sick people (children, mostly), but they add flour to the eggs to make egg dumplings. Anybody know how to actually properly make it?
