Scout by FutureChefHaku Scout by FutureChefHaku
It was my friend Britt's birthday today, so I've been trying to work on this for the last few days. Not too overly satisfied with the overall quality, but I tried my best on it, so whatever. I suck majorly at backgrounds anyway. Next time, I'm so totally sticking to just the main image, no background, like I normally do. Fuck backgrounds.

Anyway, no obligation or whatever, but if you feel so inclined and happen to have just a wee bit of freetime around the 30th of April, you're more than welcome to draw me Harley Quinn, Wasp (aka Janet van Dyne), or Vanellope von Schweetz (again, no obligation intended; just thinking out loud here and all)

Is that the return of the birthday apple?? It is the birthday apple!

It's so good to hear from you again Oscar! Is everything alright? :) Thanks for the birthday gift, I LOVE the colors on this, and how they are blended (I'm pretty bad at blending with anything other than a digital program helping me out, haha, so I'm jealous). Surprised you remembered I dipped into the TF2 and haven't resurfaced yet..haha, in fact I am playing Scout for various competitive teams now.

Ohh you saw Wreck-It Ralph! Now that you mention it, I think I have an idea for a birthday gift for you this upcoming year. Oh yes, it will be good...

Thanks again!! Totally diggin' this! <3 Scout (got to play yesterday with his voice actor, nice guy)

Yes, yes it is. It's mostly your fault for the abbreviation of your name that you had on fb for a while; now you are forever linked to braeburn apples in my mind. At least towards the end of the year, in any case; rest assured, I am not thinking much about it when I cook them up in delicious foodstuffs.

I honestly can't tell if it looks better in real life or the scanned version, though; the scanned version toned down the colors a lot, but it also blended them together. I was at first trying to go for a hazy/dreamy feel to the background, but that mostly faded once I started adding colors. Colors ruin me :iconmanlytearsplz:
If I decide to redo this like I did that other drawing of L, I'm totally sticking to just pencil and pen, no more colors! I can do either somewhat decent color blending, or somewhat decent pencil art; I just can't mix the two together.

Anyway, all I remember of TF2 is how bad my team and I sucked when you were on the opposite team. That, and how gratifying it was when my turrets killed people when I was the Engineer, or when I blew people up as the Demoman. I do, however, remember that on your other account you mentioned your love for Scout, and that you uploaded some Scout art on an account. Not sure which one, though. Hard to keep track of things with your account jumping (no offense implied or anything; you've just had more accounts than any of my other friends).
Also, how'd you manage to play with his VA? That kicks ass!

So yeah, cool, you liked it, that's awesome; now maybe I can start drawing again since I miss it so much XD

And, yes, Wreck-It Ralph was awesome. Better than I thought it'd be, even.

Cool! I have art to look forward to that I probably wouldn't otherwise be able to draw for myself! XD
Seriously, I'm deteriorating as an artist because of my inability to draw what I want and just giving up on it.
Oh, and to answer your question, I'm mostly doing alright; the culinary classes were filled up because they were at a different location, but nobody bothered to tell us at the office, but I did manage to just barely get registered for the pastry classes, so it's not as bad as it could be. Still no job, but whatevs; I can't be jobless forever, right? Sooner or later someone should accept me somewhere
How have you been? Hopefully no more bad crap going on again.

Aw yeah, braeburn, I figured that's where it came from. Cute idea though, I love it!

:( But I thought the blending was super good. But I understand, color blending is extremely rough to get a good handle on. I don't even know how it's down with just paper and colors... Could guess, but I'd totally be off. I like the way you blend though!

Haha! I do jump accounts, haven't since this one..but I think all in total I have had....over 6 accounts for sure. Yeah, it was very cool I got to play him on my birthday, ohhh but he's so bad at actually playing Scout (his aim, rofl). Hahaha...but would you want to play a character you voice? It would be strange I think, I'd avoid it too. Like the plague perhaps.

If you ever decide to play again, you should try the online version if you can. So much more fun. And it's free, I think that's the best part besides collecting hats.

I have yet to see it, must have been pretty kick ass though.

Oh so you are registered for a pastry class? Well, that's good at least. When does that start? You good at pastries anyways? I don't recall you ever making one.. and yeah, sorry 'bout the whole job thing. Pain in the ass finding one. That vicious circle of people not wanting to hire you because you don't have experience, but aren't willing to give it out. :F ugh.

I uh, well, I've been fine. Recently I was diagnosed with ADHD (the kind where there is no hyperactivity) and Hypothyroidism so that explains so fucking much. Tired, and lazy all the time...gee I wonder why. rofl..

If I was great at color blending, I'd be able to do it with just one medium; I have to combine pencil, pen, colored pencils, and markers when I color something. I can do it just fine with markers, but marker colors are too vivid, and I can't tone them down. Sharpies are great to color with otherwise, though; the colors layer great with them.

With this one I'm on my third account, but I hope I don't have to end up scrapping this one like the other ones; I like this one XD
I wouldn't really mind it as long as his responses are pretty much what I'd say anyway; if I was a VA and voiced a character way different than I am in real life, though, I don't think I'd be able to do it. Then again, in real life I tend to be a pretentious asshole with an apparent standoffish attitude (this according to a friend who I've known since high school), so I'd probably not have a problem playing most characters ever, I guess? I don't know.

What, the Steam version of it? I was told I should get a Steam account over a year and a half ago and I still haven't done it. Even with my laptop, I don't know if it'd support online gameplay. I wouldn't hesitate at all if I had an Alienware laptop, and if the entirety of the online game community hadn't flipped their shit when Valve made TF2 free, but since I don't, and they did, I'm still hesitant about it. Plus I suck so much I probably shouldn't be playing online with this people until I improve anyway, right? Right...? >.>

There were two moments in the movie where my eyes watered up; that usually doesn't happen. Last time was during the Hunger Games, but that was because I had already read the book, and knew what was coming to one of my favorite characters.

Pastry class starts on the 15th. I suck at pastries, but I need to improve. Thanks to watching Good Eats I have a lot of basics that I should know already in my brain, but the problem is I can't properly execute it. Also, I'm not sure about this, but I think my hands have too good of a blood circulation to properly work pastries into shape; no matter how cold I get butter and all that, it melts faster than it should when I start trying to work doughs =/
The good news is that with the unemployment rate dropping, and people being more optimistic about the future, employers should start hiring less-experienced employees soon, looking forward to when the recession is nearing it's end, since their more-experience workers will most likely leave them for better jobs; if they start hiring less-experienced workers now, by the time the more-experienced workers leave, they should be just as good. That's my hope, anyway.

Attention Deficit Disorder? My brother David got diagnosed with that. I have a cousin with the full-blown ADHD, though; he used to literally bounce off the walls until he started taking some medication. He's still an idiot (broke his collarbone trying to climb a tree on a bet even though he sucks at climbing trees), but his schoolwork went from all F's to A's and B's.
I wouldn't recommend medication for ADD unless it interferes too much with your life; my brother started taking some because his ADD did, but just barely. It might help, but then you run the risk of becoming dependent on it for everyday function, and those things are expensive =/
Um, I, uh, don't actually know what Hypothyroidism is ^^;
All I really know about thyroid problems is that one of them makes you never stop growing throughout your life, causing all kinds of health problems.

That's a lot of mediums to work with..haha, holy shit!

Wha--wait. Three accounts? What was the one before the last? Well, again, I never thought you were an asshole, but I'm an asshole myself so maybe I'm just in good company here.

Yeah, you really have to try it out. Like my sister's laptop won't run TF2, but mine will perfectly. I guess it comes down to what you are working with. Haha, well you can always start off on easy servers and work your way up to the more challenging ones. TF2 is always bringing in new people.

Oh ah, the 15th. Well, honestly, I think you'll be great at it. Even if your blood circulation is too pro. Ha. I think it's a good start for you, for sure.

Employment is rising? You better not be fucking with me..rofl. That's good news though..where did hear that? Well, I hope you and I both can find a job if that is the case. Personally, I'm looking for office work..

Oh the hyperactive kind of ADHD is so foreign to me. That's whack though..broke his collarbone, yikes. But at least the grade improvement.

Ah, Hypothyroidism is when your thyroid glands aren't producing enough. Your metabolism is shit most of the time (mine isn't that bad though), you pretty much feel tired and weak all the time and it's really fucking stupid. Basically, I'm lazy and don't feel doing much. Ever. Because I'm so exhausted.

My first account was !HakuCordero but I closed it because I got sick of dealing with people on it, so then I made !Recycleable, but then I decided to cut off all ties to Kayla for my own mental health, not to mention I was subscribed to like 20 different groups, so I closed it, and started this one, only telling the handful of friends I still cared about it.
Awesomesauce, Jerk Five! :iconthetoddplz:

I might as well; maybe later, or tomorrow, actually, since we're expecting company later and I'm supposed to whip out the culinary skills to impress them, or, rather, because my mom wants to show off. Wanna help me pick out a username for it when I decide to make it?

Thanks; I'm looking forward to it. If all else fails, I can always dip my hands in ice water for five minutes, right?

I didn't hear that it's rising, actually, but every news outlet keeps reporting that unemployment is falling, right? I just assumed if it's falling, the opposite, that employment is rising, is also true ^^;
Also, since congress has more or less resolve that fiscal cliff issue that they were having, that can only mean good news for the country. Also, aren't Bush's tax laws or something that were fucking the country over already about to completely expire or something? I don't know. I'm not too well aware of the economy as I should be.

So I read =/
I'm calling it Lion Syndrome, incidentally.
The good news is that from what I read it's fairly manageable. It seems like a life-long condition, but at least you only suffer from both at the same time like Oprah does.

the cool thing about steam is, you can make an account and change your name infinite times. honestly, though, if you left the naming up to me, it would end up being something stupid, like MeXicanJumpingBEANZ. :F If you make an account, give me a link to your profile page, and i'll add you on there.

oh, yeah, ice water would help!

For now I'm using the username FirstPersonCooker, I guess.
Like in 'First Person Shooter', you know? But also because everything I see or do is in first person, and I do love to cook. Not very creative, but I haven't even finished mt coffee yet, so I'm still cloudy in the grey matter or whatever.
Now, here's hoping to some super-noob servers that I can join later where I'll be useful for something other than a diversion and/or target practice
