Okay, first of all, I don't know how to make a marinara sauce because I'm Mexican, not Italian, second of all, this was delicious regardless, and third of all, yes, any and all Italians will kill me for this unless I call it Spaghetti and Meatballs as made by a Mexican.
I started off getting some large tomatoes and making a small x-shaped cut on the bottoms, dropped them in boiling hot water for a minute, took them out and added them to ice water to shock them. Then I peeled them, cooked them some more, and set them off to the side. I had diced a bunch of garlic and onion, cooked them in butter until they were translucent, strained the tomato through a sift, to take out the seeds, added some chicken broth, salt, pepper, and dried parsley, and let it reduce by a bit. When it was done, I sliced a little mint into it. Cooked the spaghetti to al dente state, added it to the sauce. For the meatballs it was ground beef, salt, pepper, parsley, green onion, and a little crushed red pepper, pan-fried, and added to a little of the sauce I had left off to the side. The spaghetti gets balled up, served with the meatballs, topped with parmesan cheese, and a bit more mint.
